Community Outreach VISTA
In year three of the project at Interfaith Ministries of Denton Inc., the Community Outreach VISTA will increase the effectiveness of current outreach and development techniques designed to benefit people experiencing financial crisis in Northern Denton County. The VISTA will assess existing events and programs to design and implement improvements and will develop new marketing and media materials to increase awareness of events and services offered. The VISTA member will ensure the VISTA project is sustainable by creating a database of community partners, developing a checklist of frequently needed data for reports and grants, and training staff and volunteers on the use of all created documents and programs developed throughout the VISTA project. The VISTA member write and coordinate press releases, expand the agency’s social media presence and attend community events to promote the agency’s programs or solicit donations or sponsorships.
